The Theory of Evolution
What is Evolution?
The Theory of Evolution states:
- Organisms change over time
- All living things share a common ancestor and this means that they are related
- New species arise from exciting species through gradual change.
- The mechanism for evolution is Natural Selection
The Theory of Evolution was founded by Charles Darwin.
Why evolution matters now?
Evolution matters now because without knowing its process we wouldn't find cures for diseases. Yes, bacteria are also able to evolve to stronger bacteria. If we hadn't known how evolution's process goes then most of us would die because the bacteria/disease in our body might evolve and we get the same medicine but it doesn't work because the bacteria/disease are strong. There are some bacteria that resist any type of medication.
